Adyson Kool joined our team in October 2020, bringing with her over ten years of experience as an Administrative Assistant. Her background includes working for a non-profit corporation that supported persons with developmental  disabilities, where she honed her skills in organization, communication, and client support. Since joining our firm, Adyson has received her Paralegal Diploma from CDI College and is now the firm’s paralegal. She supports both the Calgary and Vancouver offices across various legal and administrative functions.

Adyson’s comprehensive corporate paralegal work includes the preparation of resolutions and other corporate documentation, maintaining minute books for over 70 corporate entities and supporting the legal team with complex  corporate transactions, including closing significant financial transactions. As the firm’s litigation paralegal, Adyson is responsible for court scheduling,  preparing documents for litigation and court registry filings in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario, as well as with the Federal Court Registry and the  Specific Claims Tribunal.

Adyson has received training in the First Nations Land Registry (FNLR) from the Government of Canada and files documentation in the FNLR on behalf of  clients. She also assisted a First Nation with establishing its own Land Registry  pursuant to a Land Code under the First Nations Land Management Act. This  included developing the procedures to govern the registry and  designing key  documentation, including Land Title Certificates. Adyson  continues to provide ongoing support in the implementation of the registry.

Adyson’s passion for her work extends beyond her professional responsibilities. She is dedicated to working with companies and organizations that give back to  under-served communities, reflecting her commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. Her experience with a non-profit corporation has instilled in her a deep understanding of the importance of supporting and advocating for vulnerable populations.
